What is the Purpose of this Study?

Allergic dermatitis can present itself in many ways and can cause painful, uncomfortable symptoms that could worsen if left untreated. We are currently studying a new treatment for the clinical signs of allergic dermatitis, so that dogs can experience relief. This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this newly proposed treatment in dogs who are currently diagnosed with any form of allergic dermatitis.

What is a Clinical Study?

When Do I Have to Go to the Clinic?

There will be 2 visits over the course of approximately 2 weeks.

What Will Happen in the Study?

There will be:

  • Physical examinations
  • Labwork
  • Assigned study treatment

Is My Pet Eligible to Enroll?

*Requirements for Eligibility to Participate Include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Dog must be ≥12 months of age
  • Dog must not have evidence of cancer
  • Dog cannot be pregnant, lactating or intended for breeding
  • Dog has no evidence of immune suppression
  • Dog has been diagnosed with some form of allergic dermatitis
  • Dogs could not have received Apoquel for 1 year prior to enrollment. If the dog had previously received Apoquel (beyond the 1 year) it must have been a single course of treatment for less than 3 weeks.

What Do I Have to Do?

You are responsible for:

  • Bringing your dog in for the required visits
  • Being available to answer questions about your pet
  • Administer assigned study treatment as prescribed and record on provided forms
  • Complete assessments of your pet’s condition at home and during visits
  • Notify the study veterinarian of any observed unusual behaviors
